This custom is really stellar. The perfect original frets and overall great shape lead me to believe that it was never played a ton and that the wearing of the plating may be from sitting in the case with the interior of the case pressed against it. Either way, if it was played, it was by a very light player as the frets still remain in perfect shape from the factory. This is one of the best customs I have ever played. It has a lovely chunky neck and plays and sounds like a dream. It has the 3 piece mahogany neck. As far as I know, 1974 is the first year for wine red on these, but it sports features that would normally be seen on earlier guitars. Overall, this is a fantastic les paul custom that is a joy to play and look at. It has only very light cosmetic wear. (see close up photos). The frets are perfect, the neck feels amazing, and it sounds great. Comes with a newer Gibson case.
