This thing is MAGICAL! It just has such a naturally percussive and woody tone and a quality vintage feel! It is a responsive guitar that seems to respond particularly well to player dynamics. The very wide feeling true 1-11/16 neck is much larger feeling than its Gibson contemporaries from 1961, making it a real joy to play. The desirable factory Bigsby is buttery smooth. Epiphone only made 21 Sunburst Epiphones in 1961, and far fewer with factory Bigsby units installed. (most had frequensators)

To me. this is as close to perfect as a semi hollow instrument can get. A beautiful vintage finish, gorgeous iconic Epiphone short headstock with early logo, chocolatey dark brown Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, all of the bling of a 355, but no Stereo nonsense or Varitone, incredible early mini humbuckers, and unique look and rarity as the cherry on top. this guitar plays beautifully with a straight neck, functioning truss rod, medium fret wear on the original frets, but no buzz or fretting out anywhere. The guitar is completely original minus the tune o matic bridge, which is a faber replacement. The pickguard is a high quality replacement, but the original one is included. it was just beginning to off gas a little.

All in all, this is a fantastic instrument that is sure to add a unique flavor to your collection. It is a top-tier golden era Gibson instrument with an arguably better neck than its Gibson counterparts.
