Gibson L-7C 1949 – Sunburst

Now THIS is a proper L-7! This is a nice fat necked, light weight (4.98lbs) 1949 cutaway model with tons of flame and a stunningly loud and rich tone! Having played a LOT of L-series instruments from the 40s and 50s, I have to say that this is certainly one of the better sounding and feeling ones I have ever had. It is just so comfortable to play and so resonant, with a perfect neck angle, excellent original frets, and a lovely look. The guitar is all original, with an “R” waterslide decal on the truss cover and pickguard (easily removable if you so desire, but why not leave it?!?!? I love period correct little personalizations.) The guitar has some light period appropriate wear, as well as some attractive checking. It comes with the original lifton hard case. Ships promptly, pro packed and fully insured. I know what its like trying to find a good Gibson archtop from this era with no neck issues, a great sound, and fantastic playability. NOT EASY. You will not be disappointed in this one.
