Gibson Les Paul Junior 1959 – Cherry

Just in from the son of the original owner! This instrument is a real treasure! It is light weight at 6.97lbs, has a nice fat neck and has a killer sound! The guitar is 100% original and was seldom played, making it a real case queen! The original frets are in wonderful shape and the finish is still nice and glossy with a bright red cherry finish that retains all of its factory vibrant red color. There is some light finish wear here and there, most notable some marks on the back where the guitar seems to have reacted with something that was in the case at one time. You can really only see it if you put the guitar at the right angle. This guitar has its rare factory black pickguard, which is seldom seen and ties in elegantly with the vibrant red finish. This guitar has a perfectly working and very responsive truss rod and it plays like a million bucks. Low action, no buzz, and an absolutely raunchy bridge pickup and HUGE tone. Nothing really sounds quite like these! The guitar comes with the original Gibson case. The original Gibson GA-5 amp that was originally purchased with the guitar is available if interested and has been recapped for optimal utility.
