Here is a fine example of the iconic 6120 Chet Atkins signature Gretsch! Amazingly, it has nearly perfect binding all around, which is quite rare on this model. There is just a very small spot of binding cracking right at the treble side of the body, where the neck meets. Luckily, it is a very nondescript spot, where it can be seen by neither the player nor the audience. The rest of the binding is absolutely perfect.
This guitar sounds absolutely phenomenal, with two original Pat No Filtertron pickups. It plays with low action and no buzz and has nearly perfect frets and a nice straight neck with a smooth and responsive truss rod. It comes with the original western motif lined case which bears a very cool original Ziggie’s music, Phoenix AZ tag. This legendary Phoenix music store is the very same store where Duane Eddy bought his iconic Gretsch 6120 in 1957.
Nice examples like these very rarely show up for less than 5 figures, grab this beauty while it lasts!
