Martin D-18 1945 – Under The Bed Find!

Fresh out from under Grandma’s bed, and coming to us from the estate of the original owner, this is truly the epitome of an unmolested and super straight golden era dred! The guitar was evidently played for a while, then sat under the bed for decades. The result is a super clean, all original, totally crack free D-18 with the original case. The guitar has some light wear throughout, cementing in place its vintage pedigree, but it is overall an extremely clean example! This Martin is light weight and resonant, weighing in at 3.78 lbs! It has a beautiful woody and lush tone with plenty of volume and note clarity as well as a tight bass and sparkling trebles. The original frets have some light wear but are overall in excellent shape. The guitar is 100% crack free. This is truly a case queen from days gone by. This guitar will need a neck reset to play with optimal action. I have left it in “as found” totally original condition so that you may have your luthier perform the work to your liking and specifications. Thanks for looking!
