ONE Owner! Gibson SJ-200 1948 – Sunburst

Let’s be honest, these don’t always sound that great. This one is 200% an exception!!! It is super responsive and resonant and has tons of sweet upper end and tight loud bass.

We purchased this fantastic instrument from the wife of the original owner, who was kind enough to write up a history of her husband! We also have a few photos of him!

This guitar plays incredibly well with a perfect neck angle, low action, a straight neck and a perfectly working truss rod. The guitar is in great shape with some period appropriate wear and one very small crack on the left side coming off of the binding. It is very small and appears to have been that way and stable for a LONG time. Overall, this is a fantastic example of an early SJ-200, and perhaps the best sounding one I personally have every come across. Comes with original hard case, pictures and letter.
